Slavery is defined as “a person over whom any or all the powers attaching to the right of ownership are exercised.” Practices similar to slavery include “delivery of children for exploitation.” Children are defined as persons under age 18. Trafficking in persons includes children recruited for domestic service as unpaid child servants, and minors recruited for the sex trade.
