Resources
Haiti has a unique history, social structure, and political dynamics. In order to affect change, the resulting culture, specifically the treatment of young Restavek girls, must be understood. This section provides extensive documentation through a variety of mediums to help our donors and potential donors better understand the current state of young Haitian girls ad the importance of the Haiti Now mission.
In this section of our website, Haiti Now intends to present suggestions for books, articles, films and other sources of information that might be of interest to people who share our commitment to education and social justice. These are not Haiti Now publications nor does their appearance on this list imply that we endorse or agree with everything they say. What it does mean is that we found them informative, thought-provoking and, we hope, action-inspiring on matters of vital importance to the recipients and communities where we work. This list is very much a work in progress that will grow over time to include more topics and titles.
