Business Incubation to break the cycle of poverty
The most important outcome we seek for our girls is economic security. To break the cycle of poverty and exploitation, income generation is paramount. Our approach to education to combat extreme poverty is to maximize the opportunity to increase emotional intelligence and explore personal interests and vocations through classroom work and after school activities. The business incubator capitalizes on the accelerated education pedagogy, as well as the farming, financial and digital curriculum.

Business Incubation Program
Upon successful completion of Haiti Now’s accelerated education program, students will start a 24-month business incubation for the development of a business plan, launching the business, managing the business, and growing the business.
Collaborative Efforts
It is our goal to serve as a business resource by fostering self-employment and an interest in entrepreneurship for all of our girls. The aim is to increase students' self-reliance, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. We have a special focus on teaching collaboration through entrepreneurship, active citizenship - take a role in the community - social awareness and social responsibility.

Program Pathways
The students will choose from two business incubators programs: 1) DIY Business Option: an individualized program based on the students’ ideas. We give students the opportunity to work in groups to create a business of their own. 2) Ready Made Business Option: students are able to choose their preferred pathways while selecting from a number of ready-made curated options. i.e. “cosmetology track”, “marketing track”, “food science track”, “digital skills”, “farming” etc...
Educational Resources
The business incubation will provide the resources for market research, marketing, access to mentors, internet access, accounting management, financial planning, capital, capital in-kind, networks for funding resources, asset specific training, technical expert advice, project management, regulatory compliance, formal ownership and control of assets.
