Every Restavek girl deserves safety and dignity.
Our Residential School will level the playing field for Haiti’s Restavek girls. Restavek girls need specialized programs to overcome poverty, exploitation, and trauma. We will provide a compassionate community, quality education, and global citizenship skills to help each girl achieve economically secure futures.
We will take a fully engaged, hands-on approach and hold ourselves responsible for each girls’ emotional development, physical health, social and cognitive growth, and academic achievement. Our program will create opportunities for Restavek girls to take control of their own lives while contributing to their families and communities.
The Residential School
Haiti Now is currently fundraising to establish a "Residential School" to support former Restavek girls.
The facility’s safe housing and school will nurture mental health and support the emotional wellbeing of every resident.
The "Residential School" will be a place where Restavek girls no longer have to worry about exploitation and abuse.
A safe place where they can learn and grow. A place they can finally call home.

First Phase Of The Project
We have created a 3-phase plan to get us to our goal in steps. We are focusing on the first Phase of the project that will allow us to:
- Purchase land
- Build a smaller portion of the school and residence for 30 girls
Phase 2 will add 35% and Phase 3 will add the final 35% of the facility. Donate now for Phase One. Learn how the Residential School program works.

Explore the Residential School
We at Haiti Now have worked tirelessly the last 3 years (in conjunction with experienced professionals including architects and government officials in Haiti) to create a vision and detailed plan for a residential school for Haiti’s Restavek girls.
We want meaningful change -- we envision a facility that a full capacity will house and educate up to 200 girls. Explore the Residential School.
