2003 – Feminist Research for Social Action

2003 - Feminist Research for Social Action

In a context of extreme poverty and precariousness, in an environment where
illiteracy is the rule, as is the case in Haiti1, it may seem at first glance
utopian to want to plead the cause of research, and in particular that of research
feminist; that is to say any research that revolves around the issue of
gender, social relations of sex, which aims to identify the experiences and experiences of
women, to help advance their struggle against their oppression. Immediately arises
the issue of allocating already scarce resources; question which opposes the need to
meet primary needs with the demand for research.
